The “Vieuxtemp” is made of aged spruce and maple in the old Italian style. Available in both Strad and Guarneri patterns, it has an open yet highly focused sound. The lower register, warm and commanding, transitions to a luminous and creamy upper end. Its deep amber varnish has been subtly antiqued in a refined and sophisticated way.
